Blocking the Tunnel to Prison

At Camp REES, we are dedicated to keeping youth out of the juvenile justice system and on the path to a brighter future. Our "Blocking the Tunnel to Prison" service intervenes early, working closely with at-risk youth to provide mentorship, life skills, and the support necessary to resist the pull of negative influences.

Our program empowers participants to break free from the mindset that often leads to criminal behavior by offering tools and resources for making positive choices. With individualized case management and mentorship from staff who have navigated similar challenges, we help youth recognize their potential to succeed and contribute meaningfully to society.

A key aspect of our mission is fostering a commitment to education. Toward the end of each cohort's year in the program, Camp REES hosts an educational fair, where participants explore various pathways for higher learning after completing the program. This experience emphasizes that their future extends beyond the program, opening doors to continued growth and academic opportunities.
